One of the primary components is a passive radon system, which begins beneath the home's foundation and vents above the roofline.
Installing the pipe during the pre-concrete phase of construction allows radon protection to become part of the home's design rather than something that has to be retrofitted after construction.

How Does a Passive Radon System Work?
A passive radon system creates a pathway for radon and other soil gases beneath the home to travel through dedicated piping and vent safely above the roofline.
The system begins beneath the concrete slab and runs through the home's interior and attic. Because it is incorporated during construction, piping can often be concealed within walls and other building cavities for a cleaner finished appearance.
After construction, the home should still be tested for radon. If radon levels are elevated, the passive system can be activated by adding a radon mitigation fan, turning it into an active radon reduction system.

2. Install the Sub-Slab Components
Before the concrete slab is poured, we install the appropriate components beneath the foundation to create a pathway for soil gases.
3. Install the Passive Radon Piping to Vent above Roofline
Dedicated radon piping is routed from beneath the foundation through the home and attic before drywall is installed.
4. Test After Construction
Once construction is complete, the home should be tested for radon. If elevated levels are found, the passive system can be activated with a radon mitigation fan.
